Scrapbook I - 20030808:
- The link below is to thumbnail pages for unedited
full-resolution copies of Jim Whitlock's miscellaneous photographs
before and during the exhibit. Unfortunately, during the
exhibit, this was a background task and the result was poor quality (I
didn't even notice that one camera was switched to manual operation
and never thought to focus it!) and sadly few photos of the final
exhibit with guests viewing it. But they're better than nothing
at all and complete permission is hereby granted to anyone who wants
to use them to further the work of EPIC in any way or to further any
work that will promote peace, justice and sustainable living.

- Exhibition Banner Design:
- This is the design for a 1.25x6 foot vinyl banner
that we'll use a pair of for the
Buffalo Exhibit. Rush turnaround and absence of competitive bids
resulted in
a $90/banner charge. But hey, we only get to do this once and
I've used this
shop's banners before for BuffaloPeacePeople - good strong fabric and
great
detailing.

- Oops! Caught a missing word late last night
and ran-off final-finals. Also corrected
the dimensions in the file-name, they're actually 9"x22" for a final
printed size of 36"x88"
The cost at Kinkos to print the 36"x88" versions was about $12 per
copy for high-grade
laser prints. If you modify them, don't forget to embed the
fonts in both the Acrobat and
Word versions before taking them to Kinkos. Also expect a bit of
trial and error as the
local Kinkos technician figures out how to scale them correctly for
the installed printers.
In Buffalo, for example, we scaled to 397% (almost but not quite the
full 4X) to get the
best results:

Photoshop Files, Buffalo CEPA Gallery:

directory link for folks with Adobe Photoshop who want to re-use the
excellent
flyer design that was provided by
Buffalo's CEPA Gallery graphic artists. The flyer
was produced on an Apple system but the files load just fine into
Photoshop 6.0 on
Win2K. Go ahead, use and abuse the design to your heart's content
-- that's why
they're linked here. No credits or attributions are necessary.
We, as a movement,
desperately need to learn to do more sharing of this kind. There
are simply too few
of us to duplicate efforts everywhere. If you do use the materials
